Outdoor mask-wearing has become compulsory in Paris

The wearing of face masks outdoors became compulsory in Paris today.

This also applies to the suburbs of the city. Non-compliance will result in a €135 fine.

This came into effect this morning at 8am this morning as the government attempts to suppress Covid-19 infections since the country recorded 6,111 new infections which is the highest number since early May.

These measure do not apply to those under the age of 11 and those doing physical exercise via running or cycling.
