COVID-19: 164 new cases reported with no further deaths

The Department of Health has reported 164 new cases of Covid-19 with no further deaths.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country now stands at 28,363 while the death toll remains at 1,777.

Dublin reported 93 cases, 22 in Kildare, ten in Tipperary, nine in Cork and eight in Carlow.

Six cases were reported in Waterford and Offaly, and the remaining ten cases were reported in Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick, Louth and Roscommon.

The majority of the cases were under the age of 45.
