Gardaí seize 32 dogs believed to be stolen in Dublin

Following searches that took place in Swords, Co Dublin, gardaí have seized 32 dogs which are believed to be stolen.

Gardaí received a call about unusual activity in the area and sought a Section 48 search warrant following further inquiries.

The searches, conducted by gardaí from Swords and Malahide garda stations as well as two dog wardens, were carried out in Stockhole and Cloghran at approximately at 1pm yesterday.

The dogs that were seized were three Chihuahuas, four Pugs, one Jack Russell and 24 Dachshunds.

All the dogs are currently being cared for at Ashtown Pound.

Their owners are to be verified through their microchips.
