Two men have been arrested in Northern Ireland as part of an investigation into the dissident republican group called the ‘New IRA’.
The first man, aged 26 from Lurgan, was arrested and charged with membership of a proscribed organisation, conspiracy of possessing explosives and ammunition with intent to harm or kill, preparatory acts of terrorism and directing terrorism.
Another man, aged 50 from Derry, was charged with membership of a proscribed organisation, preparatory acts of terrorism and directing terrorism.
They will both appear at Laganside Court in Belfast via video link tomorrow morning.
