COVID-19: 190 new cases confirmed today

Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has stated that there has been a further 190 Covid-19 cases today.

One further death has been notified to the Department of Health.

Stephen Donnelly stated at a Cabinet meeting this morning that “Looking at the facts and listening to the medical experts, we are at a tipping point”.

He added that “Ireland’s rate of growth in new cases over the last two weeks is the 4th highest in Europe. In the last two months, we have gone from a low of 61 cases in one particular week to 533 cases last week”.
