Remains discovered of man who has been missing since 1991

The remains of James Patterson have been recovered from the River Bann.

James Patterson went missing 30 years ago on the 6th of October 1991.

The remains were discovered inside a vehicle that was retrieved from the river in July.

After undergoing an examination, it was confirmed that the remains were those of James Patterson.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

A PSNI statement read that “The family have been informed and request for privacy at this time”.
