Gardaí have surrendered 13 men to Polish police for European arrest warrants

Polish police have arrested 13 men after they were surrendered to them by gardaí at Dublin Airport for European arrest warrants.

The men were arrested for a number of offences which included sexual assault, extortion, assault, attempted murder, fraud, theft, kidnapping and armed robbery.

The PSNI also surrendered another Polish individual to the police.

Detective Superintendent Michael J Mullen stated that “This operation also highlights the continued commitment of domestic stakeholders including the Department of Justice, the Defence Forces and the Irish Prison Service, all of whom work in tandem to ensure wanted fugitives are brought to justice,”.
