Gardaí have arrested a man following an armed robbery in Dublin yesterday

A 26-year-old man has been arrested following an armed robbery in Dublin yesterday at approximately 4:40pm.

The incident occurred at a supermarket on the Grange Road in Baldoyle, Dublin.

Two men, armed with what is believed to be a firearm, left with a large sum of money after threatening staff.

Gardaí responded to the incident and a car chase took place.

The car eventually crashed in Dublin 17 on Priorswood Road.

One man was observed running from the vehicle and was arrested.

The firearm and cash from the robbery was seized.

Investigations are ongoing as the second man has not been arrested yet.
