The UK has extended its Covid-19 isolation period to 10 days

The self-isolation period in the UK has been extended from seven days to 10 days.

According to the UK’s chief medical officers, new scientific evidence shows that those with the virus have a “real possibility of infectiousness between 7 and 9 days”.

Health Secretary ‘Matt Hancock’ stated that similar measures would be imposed on the UK, similar to those imposed on Spain if necessary.

This comes after Prime Minister ‘Boris Johnson’ warned of a “second wave” of Covid-19 cases in Europe.
