Investigation underway after two men die following a car crash in Monaghan

GardaĆ­ are investigating a single-vehicle car crash in which two men, aged in their 30s and 40s, were killed.

The incident occurred on the R181 between Castleblayney and Lough Egish in Co Monaghan.

It is understood that the men were Polish nationals who were due to take up work at the Tusker Construction Group which is based near Castleblayney.

The scene is being examined by garda forensic collision investigators.

Anyone with dash cam footage or information in relation to the crash is asked to contact gardaĆ­.
