There has been 2,450 job losses in Dublin’s pub sector since March

According to the Licensed Vintners Association (LVA), there has been at least 2,450 job losses in the Dublin pub sector since March.

This is approximately 1 in 5 of the 12,000 jobs in the sector.

The LVA have also stated that there will be more future job losses ahead since almost 1 in 3 pubs has yet to reopen, and those that reopen will be operating at 50% capacity or less.

This shows just how serious public health measures have affected the economic impact of the pub sector in Dublin.
