A lockdown has been imposed on the border city of Kaesong after a suspected first case of Covid-19 in North Korea.
According to the official Korean Central News Agency, leader Kim Jong-Un assembled an emergency meeting on Saturday to implement “maximum emergency system and issue a top-class alert” to contain the virus.
The city of Kaesong has now been placed under a strict quarantine.
If the case is confirmed then it will be the first officially recognised case of Covid-19 in North Korea.
