Anyone entering the UK via Spain must now quarantine for 14-days following rule change

British Holidaymakers arriving from Spain will have to quarantine for 14 days after second wave fears mount in Spain, prompting the removal of the country from the UK’s safe list.

The safe list with Spain has been shutdown after it reported more than 900 new daily infections for the past two days.

The decision means those coming back from Spain will have to self-isolate for two weeks upon their return to UK.

“Protecting public health is our absolute priority and we have taken this decision to limit any potential spread to the UK,” a UK government spokesperson said.
