COVID-19: 7 new confirmed cases and 9 more people diagnosed with Covid-19 have died

Health officials have confirmed that a further seven people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Ireland.

A further nine Covid-19 related deaths have also been reported. The surge in deaths is as a result of a backlog of notifications.

There has now been a total of 25,826 cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Ireland and 1,763 deaths associated with the virus.
