A Gunman has held 20 hostages on a bus in Ukraine

A gunmen had taken 20 people hostage on a bus in the western Ukraine city of Lutsk.

Although shots have been fired, there has been no casualties reported yet.

Deputy Interior Minister ‘Anton Herashchenko’ stated that the man claims to have an explosive device, adding that “The police launched a special hostage operation. Negotiations are under way”.

The gunman’s demands are unclear at the moment.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that “Every effort is being made to resolve the situation without casualties”.
