A man has been charged following the fatal stabbing of Derek Reddin that took place in Loughlinstown last October

Following direction from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Andrew Lacey (32) has been charged with the fatal stabbing of 31-year-old ‘Derek Reddin’ in Loughlinstown last October.

He appeared before Dún Laoighre District Court this morning before Judge Ann Watkin.

When presented with the charges against him, he made no reply.

Andrew Lacey’s barrister ‘Rob Crowley’ will be applying for legal aid.

Lacey’s next court appearance will be on the 24th of July at Cloverhill District Court.
