Gardaí have seized two loose horses roaming Dublin city centre streets

Two loose horses have been seized by gardaí after they were found wandering the streets in Dublin city centre.

It is believed that the horses were left unattended at the Royal Canal in Drumcondra on Friday.

They were later discovered by gardaí roaming Dorset Street.

No microchips were found in the animals.

The younger horse is receiving treatment as it is very unwell.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information in regards to the incident to contact them.
