Investigation underway by gardaí after two bin men were assaulted in Dublin yesterday

Video footage is circulating on social media of two bin men being assaulted by a man in Dublin yesterday.

The incident took place on the Holywell Road, Donaghmede where a car is seen mounting the pathway to overtake the bin truck.

A man emerges from the car and confronts the driver of the bin truck, after the confrontation he walks back to his car and retrieves an object.

He then strikes the other bin man, standing near him, with the object.

The bin man was hospitalised at Beaumont Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made yet.
