Boil water notice will affect 6,500 people in Kildare

A boil water notice has been issued by Kildare County Council and Irish Water which will affect approximately 6,500 people in the area.

The area that has been affected is supplied by the Rathangan Public Water Supply.

The notice is due to issues with the disinfectant process which has lead to inadequate chlorination of the water.

The areas affected include Rathangan, Tullylost, Ellistown, parts of Monasterevin, and parts of Kildare town.
