‘Mythbusters’ co-host Grant Imahara has died aged 49

Electrical engineer and roboticist ‘Grant Imahara’ has died aged 49.

Imahara was best known for his work on the reality series ‘Mythbusters’.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Grant died following a brain aneurysm.

As well as Mythbusters, Imahara worked at Lucasfilm’s THX and Industrial Light and Magic.

While working for these companies, he provided effects for films such as Galaxy Quest, The Phantom Menace and The Matrix Reloaded.

After Mythbusters, Imahara appeared on the Netflix science-based reality series ‘White Rabbit Project’.

Mythbusters co-host ‘Adam Savage’ wrote on Twitter “No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend”.
