Boris Johnson makes face coverings in shops and supermarkets compulsory

The UK Prime Minister ‘Boris Johnson’ has made the use of face coverings in shops and supermarkets compulsory.

This will come into effect next week.

A statement made from Boris Johnson’s Downing Street office read “The Prime Minister has been clear that people should be wearing face coverings in shops and we will make this mandatory from July 24,”.

Shop workers will be encouraged to wear a face mask but retailers and businesses will not be expected to enforce them.
