ISPCA rescue three newborn puppies found dangling over river in a plastic bag

The ISPCA have rescued three newborn puppies that were found dangling over a river in a plastic bag in Donegal.

The local vet, Alexander Smyth, was called to the scene on Wednesday night after a member of the public alerted him that a plastic bag containing what they thought were kittens was found dangling near a crossing of the river that was not accessible.

The three collie puppies, no more than 10 days old, were taken into the care of Donegal ISPCA after being treated for hypothermia, hypoglycaemia and hunger.
