Construction worker dies following an accident on a building site in Wexford

A post-mortem examination is to be carried out after a man in his 30s died following an accident on a construction site in the Ballycarney area of Wexford this morning.

The man was fatally injured when he was struck by building material.

The post-mortem is taking place at University Hospital Waterford and the incident is being investigated by the Health and Safety Authority.
