Legendary music composer ‘Ennio Morricone’ has died aged 91

Oscar-winning music composer ‘Ennio Morricone’ has died aged 91.

Morricone, who has been composing film music for over 50 years, was best known for composing the scores for films such as ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ and ‘Mission’.

Morricone died this morning in a clinic in Rome after suffering a fall which resulted in a hip fracture.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte paid tribute to Morricone stating that “We will always remember, with infinite gratitude, the artistic genius of the Maestro Ennio Morricone”.
