Two men have been remanded in custody following a €3.9 million drug seizure

Gerard O’Brien (42) and John Ryan (41) have been remanded in custody following a €3.9 million cannabis seizure in Co Laois last week.

Both appeared at Tullamore District Court and have been accused of the possession of cannabis and the possession of cannabis for sale or supply.

Over 7kg of cannabis herb was found along with 377kg of cannabis infused products.

Judge Owens refused bail applications for both O’Brien and Ryan.

They will appear at Cloverhill District Court on the 10th of July.
