The Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen has been vandalised

Danish police are investigating an act of vandalism on ‘The Little Mermaid’ statue in Copenhagen where the words “racist fish” were written on it.

Police are puzzled as to who might have done it and what their message may have been.

This isn’t the first time that the 175kg sculpture has been vandalised but a lot of people have been left puzzled in relation to the racist accusation.

Other statues around Copenhagen have been vandalised with similar messages.

On the 16th of June, the Statue of Danish King Christian IV was also vandalised with the word “racist” written on it.
