Investigation underway after clamper is assaulted in Dublin

An investigation has been launched by gardaí after a clamper was assaulted on the Mayor Street area of Dublin city centre.

Video is circulating on social media of two women assaulting the man.

After confronting the clamper, one woman attempted to enter the man’s van but was unsuccessful as the man prevented her from doing so.

The man was then grabbed by the face and thrown to the ground.

One woman continues to assault the man while he is on the ground.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses or those with information to contact them.
