A police officer, identified as Constable David Whyte, is in a critical but stable condition following a stabbing in Glasgow city centre.
The incident, which took place at the Park Inn Hotel in West George Street left six people injured.
All six people who were injured are being treated in hospital and the suspect was shot dead by armed police.
A spokeswoman for āPositive Action In Housingā stated that the hotel was housing asylum seekers which were moved there during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Witness āCraig Milroyā saw the aftermath of the incident stating āI saw a man lying on the ground, of African descent, with no shoes on. He was on the ground with someone holding his side ā I donāt know if it was a bullet wound, a stab wound, or what it wasā, the man lying on the ground was one of the victims, he also described the reception as being covered in blood.
All the victims were men aged 17, 18, 20, 38, and 53.
