Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow thunder warning for the entire country.
The warning will remain in place until 9am tomorrow.
According to the forecaster, severe downpours, hail and spot flooding are to be expected.
Some parts of the country are to remain dry due to localised thunder storms.
