President Donald Trump states that those who destroy statues should be jailed

Donald Trump has warmed that those who destroy statues, monuments or federal property would be jailed.

This follows a protest where demonstrators attempted to topple the statue of former president ‘Andrew Jackson’.

Many statues that honour the rebel confederacy have been targeted recently following anti-racism protests.
