Over 100 peacekeeping troops have returned home from Lebanon today

Following a delay from Covid-19, over 100 peacekeeping troops have returned home from Lebanon.

The remaining 170 soldiers are to return home next month.

The troops were originally supposed to return in May but all rotations were suspended until the 30th of June amid the Covid-19 crisis.

Minister with Responsibility for Defence Paul Kehoe stated “I know this homecoming will be an emotional occasion for both personnel and their families”.
