Monsoon and Accessorize to close some Irish shops

Monsoon and Accessorize are to close 35 stores in the UK and Ireland which will make 545 redundancies.

The company will be seeking rent cuts for the remaining shops in order to survive the Covid-19 crisis.

Monsoon fell into administration after the impact of the pandemic but was bought out in the UK by founder Peter Simon.

The shops that will be closed include outlets in Dublin, Cork and Kilkenny.
