Investigation underway after a man dies following farm accident in Galway

Gardaí are investigating a farm accident near Tuam, Co Galway where a man in his 70s has died.

It is understood that the man, an auctioneer for the town, was inflating a tyre when the incident occurred.

A moment’s silence took place at Tuam Mart for the man and an investigation is underway.

This is the eleventh farm-related death so far this year.
