Minneapolis has seen a third day of vandalism and looting in protest against the death of 46-year-old George Floyd, who was killed by a police officer that knelt on his neck while in handcuffs.
The city’s Third Precinct police station was set on fire as retreating protestors reassembled and attacked the building while police used tear gas and rubber bullets on them.
According to fire officials, 16 buildings were set on fire.
President Donald Trump responded to the demonstrations and criticised the city’s mayor ‘Jacob Frey’, threatening to send National Guard to deal with the riots.
I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis. A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right…..
