Man who said Covid-19 was a ‘hoax’ changes his statement after being hospitalised with the virus

Brian Hitchens, who previously referred to the Covid-19 crisis as a hoax, has changed his mind after he and his wife contracted the virus and were hospitalised as a result.

From his hospital bed, Brian told WPTV “I thought it was maybe the government trying something, and it was kind of like they threw it out there to kinda distract us”.

His wife has been on a ventilator for three weeks at the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Centre.

Brian wrote on Facebook “This wasn’t some scare tactic that anybody was using. It wasn’t some made-up thing. This was a real virus you gotta take seriously”.
