COVID-19: Nearly 60 confirmed cases at Offaly meat processing plant

SIPTU has reported that nearly 60 confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been discovered at a pig meat processing plant in Edenderry, Co Offaly.

The entire staff of 600 people were tested.

The company ‘Rosderra’ reported another 120 cases at a facility in Tipperary.

Rosderra stated that they are working with the HSE, DAFM and occupational health professionals to control and minimise their spread of the virus at their facilities.

There are now over 600 confirmed cases in the meat industry in Ireland.
