Debenhams staff stage protest outside the Dáil

Following the closure of Irish Debenhams branches, former staff of the business staged a protest outside the Dáil.

The closure saw the loss of 2,000 jobs.

The demonstrators called on politicians to take action on protecting workers.

They also want the liquidation process to be halted or extended until after the Covid-19 crisis.
