Musician ‘Little Richard’ dies aged 87


Known for his hits such as ‘Tutti Frutti’ ‘Good Golly Miss Molly’ and ‘Long Tall Sally’, Little Richard has died aged 87.

He was one of the founders of rock n roll as well as being one of the first inductees into the Rock Hall Of Fame in 1986.

He mesmerised audiences with his incredible stage presence and his blues/gospel rhythms.

Selling more than 30 million records worldwide, he influenced artists such as The Beatles, Elton John, Prince and David Bowie.

His son ‘Danny Penniman’ confirmed the news but his cause of death is unknown according to Rolling Stone.

Band member ‘Kelvin Holly’ stated on Instagram “Rest in peace, Richard. This one really stings. My thoughts and prayers go out to all my bandmates and fans all over the world. Richard truly was the king!”.
