Fans will not be allowed at Dutch sporting events until Covid-19 vaccine

Dutch Health Minster ‘Hugo de Jonge’ stated that sporting events in the Netherlands will take place without the attendance of fans until a Covid-19 vaccine is produced.

Prime Minister ‘Mark Rutte’ stated that organised sport could begin on the 1st of September but with no mass gatherings.

De Jonge wrote a letter to the Dutch parliament stating “We cannot yet mention a date for the last step, the mass gatherings. That is actually only possible if there is a vaccine and no one knows how long it will take”.
