COVID-19: Department of Health confirms another 23 deaths and 211 new cases

It has been reported by the Department of Health that another 23 deaths and 211 cases have been confirmed in the country.

The overall death toll now stands at 1,339.

The total number of confirmed cases is 21,983.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) revealed the following data in relation to the total number of confirmed cases:

6,293 of the cases are healthcare workers.

The median age is 49.

Community transmission – 62%

Close contact transmission – 35%

Travel abroad transmission- 3%
