Gardaí seize 33 dogs that were discovered at Dublin port

The Garda Immigration Unit discovered 26 puppies and seven adult dogs during two vehicle searches at Dublin port.

One of the dogs was heavily pregnant.

The owners of vehicles could not prove any ownership, pet passports or documentation.

The dogs were found in poor shape, some puppies had their tails docked and one had an infected umbilical cord.

The dogs are currently in the care of the DSPCA.
