Taoiseach Leo Varadkar states that conditions “aren’t good enough yet” to ease restrictions

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has stated that conditions “aren’t good enough yet” to start easing restrictions.

Varadkar made this statement due to the number of new cases, deaths and ICU admissions.

He added that “Maybe it’ll change significantly by Friday, but as things stand I don’t think we’re there yet”.

A strategy in regards to reopening the country will be released in a couple of days but Varadkar has stressed that an easing will not be announced this week.
