COVID-19: Virus laws will not affect those from Northern Ireland or outside the state

The Department of Health has stated that the Covid-19 legislation on movement restrictions will not apply to visitors from Northern Ireland or outside the state.

This only applies if you are visiting for a day but not staying overnight.

Although more than 2km from their homes, they will be allowed to socialise, shop, see friends and go to beaches without being arrested by gardaĆ­.
