Investigation underway after man is seriously injured following a road crash in Kerry

Gardaí are investigating a road crash involving two motorcycles in Ballyheigue, Kerry.

The incident took place on the R551 road in Bancurrig.

The two motorcyclists were aged in their early 20s and late teens.

One man was seriously injured and was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick.

The other motorcyclist was hospitalised at University Hospital Kerry with non life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward as well as anyone with dash cam footage of the Buncarrig area between 1:30pm and 2:30pm on Tuesday.
