COVID-19: Ireland’s death toll reaches 444

The Department of Health has confirmed that a further 38 people have died from Covid-19 in Ireland.

Among the dead are two healthcare workers at St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny and eight patients at a care centre in Laois.

As well as this, a further 657 confirmed cases have been reported.

The total number of confirmed cases in Ireland now stands at 12,547.
