COVID-19: Spain’s confirmed cases increases by over 5,000

The number of new Covid-19 infections in Spain has risen by 5,092 (3%). This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 177,633.

This is the largest daily increase since the 9th of April.

Spain has also recorded 523 new deaths, this is a decline from the day before.

The total of number of coronavirus fatalities in Spain is 18,579.

Health authorities have stated that Spain has reached its peak in terms of the coronavirus but has also warned against easing the restrictions in place to prevent further spreading of the virus.
