99-year-old war veteran ‘Captain Tom Moore’ has raised over £2 million for the NHS

After breaking his £1,000 target, ‘Captain Tom Moore’ (99) has raised over £2 million for the NHS.

Walking with the aid of a frame, Captain Moore aimed to complete 100 laps of his of garden in Bedfordshire by Thursday.

He stated that he will not stop and hopes to do another 100.

Mr Moore began raising funds to thank the NHS staff who helped him with his treatment for cancer and a broken hip.

Captain Moore stated “When you think of who it is all for – all those brave and super doctors and nurses we have got – I think they deserve every penny, and I hope we get some more for them too”.
