Fountains of Wayne songwriter ‘Adam Schlesinger’ dies after testing positive for Covid-19

Bass player, backing singer and co-songwriter of ‘Fountains of Wayne’ has died at the age of 52.

US media has stated that he died from “complications from the coronavirus”.

It is unclear whether he has underlying health conditions or not. The band is best known for their single ‘Stacy’s Mom’.

Adam has also earned an Oscar nomination in 1997 for writing the title track on ‘That Thing You Do’.

Tributes are being paid towards his death.
