A man in his 40s is being detained at Bandon Garda Station after a stabbing incident in Bandon, Co Cork.
The incident took place on the Glasslynn Road area at approximately 7.45am.
A man in his 20s is being hospitalised after receiving a number of stab wounds.
His condition is being described as serious but stable.
