Spain reports 838 Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours

Spain’s total number of deaths in relation to the coronavirus has reached 6,528.

This comes from the death toll rising by 838 in the space of 24 hours.

The number of infections have also risen from 72,248 to 78,797. Schools, bars, restaurants and shops that sell non-essential items have been shut down since the 14th of March.

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez stated that workers will receive their usual salaries but will eventually have to make up for the lost hours at a later date.
